Daily Fate
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Daily Fate Android application (the “App”) handles information when you install or use it.
The App is provided by RUSHERS ADR (the “Service Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, RUSHERS ADR is the controller of personal data processed for its own purposes.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- The App does not require an account and does not ask you to submit your name, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, or precise location.
- Your selected language, daily fate, notification settings, and cached ad-free status are stored locally on your device.
- The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage and performance.
- The App uses Google AdMob to load and display interstitial advertisements.
- An optional one-time purchase to remove ads is processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment-card or bank details.
- Notifications are optional and scheduled locally on your device.
- When you share a fate, the App creates a temporary image on your device and sends it only to the app or service you select through Android’s share interface.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to the Daily Fate Android App and related support communications with the Service Provider. It does not govern third-party apps, websites, advertising services, payment services, or sharing destinations. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following information in Android app-private storage so its features work correctly:
- Language settings: whether a language has been selected and the currently selected language.
- Daily fate information: the date, category, title, message, and advice for the fate revealed on your device.
- Notification preferences: whether reminders are enabled, whether notification permission has been requested, the selected reminder time, and the language used for notifications.
- Purchase entitlement cache: a local true-or-false value indicating whether Google Play has reported that the ad-free upgrade is owned.
- Temporary sharing file: a PNG image of your fate generated in the App’s cache when you use the sharing feature.
This locally stored information is used to provide the App’s features. The Service Provider does not operate a server that receives your selected fate, language, or notification schedule.
Local information normally remains on your device until it is replaced, cleared through the App or Android settings, removed automatically from the cache, or deleted when the App is uninstalled. Android backup behavior may also depend on your device and Google account backup settings.
4. Information Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services
The App includes third-party software development kits supplied by Google. These services may automatically collect or receive information when the App is installed, opened, or used.
4.1 Google Analytics for Firebase
Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically process information such as:
- a pseudonymous app-instance identifier;
- the Android Advertising ID, when available;
- masked IP address and approximate geographic information derived from it;
- app opens, sessions, screen views, and other app lifecycle events;
- device type, operating system, app version, language, and general technical information;
- in-app purchase events, including product information and price; and
- diagnostic and performance information.
The App does not create a Daily Fate account or intentionally assign your name or email address as a Firebase user ID. Analytics information is used to understand general usage, measure performance, diagnose issues, and improve the App.
4.2 Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK
The App uses Google AdMob to request and display interstitial advertisements. According to Google’s disclosures, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share:
- your device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and advertisement interactions, such as app launches, taps, impressions, and video views;
- diagnostic information, including app or SDK performance information; and
- device or account identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID, App Set ID, and other identifiers when available.
Google may use this information for advertising, ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google’s configuration, advertisements may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or based on contextual information.
Buying the optional ad-free upgrade prevents advertisements from being shown once the entitlement is recognized. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may still initialize as part of the App.
4.3 Google Play Services and Google Play Billing
The App connects to Google Play to obtain product details, display the locally applicable price, process the optional ad-free purchase, acknowledge the purchase, and check whether the purchase is owned or pending.
Google processes your payment method, billing information, Google account information, and transaction under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. The App may receive product information, purchase status, and a purchase token or transaction identifier required to verify and acknowledge the purchase. The Service Provider does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details. The App stores only a local cached value indicating whether the ad-free feature is owned.
5. Information You Choose to Provide
The App does not include account registration, a profile, or a form for submitting personal information to the Service Provider.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use that information to answer your request, provide support, protect the App, or comply with legal obligations. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your request.
6. Notifications
The App may ask for Android notification permission. If you allow notifications, the App schedules a daily reminder locally at the time you select. Notification preferences and the selected language are stored on your device. The App also uses Android’s boot-completed functionality to restore enabled reminders after a device restart.
Notification permission is optional. You can turn reminders off in the App’s settings or change notification permission in Android settings. If today’s fate has already been revealed, the App is designed not to send that day’s reminder.
7. Sharing Your Fate
When you tap the share button, the App creates a temporary PNG card in its private cache containing your displayed fate. Android’s share interface then lets you choose a third-party app or service. The accompanying text may include a Google Play link to Daily Fate.
The App does not transmit the image until you select a sharing destination. Once you share it, the selected third party processes the image, accompanying text, and any related metadata under its own privacy policy. The temporary image may remain in the App’s cache until it is overwritten, cleared by Android, cleared by you, or removed when the App is uninstalled.
8. Permissions Used by the App
The App may use:
- Internet access: required for advertisements, analytics, Google Play Billing, and opening online links.
- Post notifications: used only if you enable daily reminders.
- Receive boot completed: used to restore enabled local reminders after the device restarts.
- Temporary content-URI access: used to allow the sharing app you select to read the generated fate image. Access is granted only for the sharing operation.
The App does not request access to precise location, contacts, call logs, microphone, camera, or your general photo library.
9. How Information Is Used
Information described in this Policy may be used to:
- provide and maintain the App’s features;
- remember your settings and daily fate;
- schedule optional notifications;
- generate and share a fate card at your request;
- deliver, measure, and protect advertisements;
- process and restore the ad-free purchase;
- understand aggregate usage and improve functionality;
- diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues;
- respond to support or privacy requests;
- prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and
- comply with law and enforce applicable rights.
We do not use the text of your locally selected fate to build a personal profile about you.
10. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar laws apply, processing may rely on:
- Performance of a contract: to provide App functionality and the optional purchase you request.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the App, prevent fraud, and understand general performance, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: where consent is required for notifications, device storage or identifiers, personalized advertising, analytics, or similar technologies. You may withdraw consent through available App, device, Google, or consent settings without affecting prior processing.
- Legal obligation: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests.
The legal basis used may vary according to the feature, information, and jurisdiction.
11. When Information May Be Shared
We may disclose or allow processing of information:
- With service providers: including Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play Services, and Google Play Billing.
- At your direction: when you choose an app or service through Android’s share interface.
- For legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request.
- For safety and security: when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or abuse, protect legal rights, enforce terms, or protect users and the public.
- In a business transfer: if the App or its relevant assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some privacy laws define advertising disclosures involving device identifiers as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale,” even when no money is exchanged. Where those laws apply, you may have the right to opt out.
12. Advertising and Analytics Choices
Depending on your device, region, and available services, you may be able to:
- reset or delete the Android Advertising ID;
- control ad personalization in Android or Google settings;
- adjust privacy and advertising choices presented by Google;
- turn off notifications through the App or Android settings;
- purchase the optional ad-free upgrade; or
- uninstall the App to stop future App activity from your device.
Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete information already processed by Google or another third party. Their retention and deletion practices are governed by their policies and your available account or privacy controls.
13. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, security, and support purposes.
- App preferences and the daily fate stored locally remain until replaced, reset, cleared, or the App is uninstalled.
- The fate image used for sharing remains in temporary cache until overwritten or cleared by the operating system, you, or uninstallation.
- Support emails may be retained while necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
- Analytics, advertising, and transaction information is retained by Google according to the applicable service configuration, Google’s retention controls, and Google’s policies.
Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained for longer periods.
14. International Data Transfers
Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are made using legally recognized safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other approved transfer mechanisms.
15. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the App, including Android app-private storage and secure content-URI sharing. Google states that information collected by its Mobile Ads and Analytics SDKs is encrypted in transit.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data breach requires notification under applicable law, we will provide notice as required.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sales, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising; appeal a denied request; and complain to a data-protection authority.
You may delete locally stored App information by clearing the App’s data in Android settings or uninstalling the App. For requests directed to the Service Provider, email rushersadr@gmail.com with the subject “Daily Fate Privacy Request.”
Because the App has no user accounts and much third-party information is pseudonymous, we may need information that reasonably allows us or the relevant provider to identify applicable records. We will not ask for more information than reasonably necessary. Some requests may be subject to lawful exceptions.
You may also need to contact Google or use Google’s privacy controls for information processed independently by Google.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
You may exercise rights provided by the GDPR or UK GDPR and complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
California and Other U.S. States
Where applicable law grants these rights, residents may request access, correction, or deletion and may opt out of qualifying sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We do not knowingly use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. Advertising services may be treated as “sharing” or targeted advertising under some laws. You may contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right and may also use Android and Google advertising controls.
17. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16, or any higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. If you are below the applicable minimum age, do not use the App without authorization from a parent or legal guardian where permitted by law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in violation of applicable law, contact rushersadr@gmail.com. We will take reasonable steps to investigate and delete the information where required.
18. Automated Decision-Making
The App randomly selects entertainment content from locally bundled fate entries. This selection is not based on a personal profile and does not produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use your daily fate for automated decisions about you.
